Navigating within a Web Page
When Web pages are long, it's useful to create internal links to navigate
within the page. An
internal link
references a certain point in the current doc
ument. There are two steps to creating an internal link. First we'll create
book
marks
, which are specific locations in a Web page. Then we'll link text in the
first paragraph to different bookmarks throughout the page. We'll also see
how to use an image to create an internal link. These links will help the user
navigate within the Web page without scrolling a great deal.
Inserting Bookmarks
Let's begin by inserting several bookmarks, also called
named anchors
 or
tar
gets
. We want to insert a bookmark for each heading in
dogs.htm
.
1.
Click the tab for
dogs.htm
to make this the active document in FrontPage.
2.
To position the cursor at the very beginning of the document,
