To select the type of format changes you would like to make,

You will see the Borders and Shading dialog box.

We would like to add solid borders to our Headings.

To add solid borders to our Headings, in the Style scroll list,

  solid

To apply a border to the bottom and left side of all Heading 2 elements, in 

the preview sections of the Borders and Shading dialog box,

  side buttons representing the top and right sides

To accept the changes we've made,
