Creating a Mailto: Link
Another type of link is a
mailto: link
, which is used to link text or an image to
an e mail address. When the link is activated, if the browser preferences are
properly configured, the user will be prompted to compose an e mail message
to be sent to the e mail address specified in the mailto: link. This helps users
easily contact the webmaster or site owner.
If an e mail address is properly formatted when typed, FrontPage will auto
matically make it a mailto: link.
Let's see how this works.
1.
To enter the last line of the footer, type:
Comments: isar@example.org
The e mail address is automatically formatted as a mailto: link.
NOTE: When you create text in your Web pages that look like links, e.g.
HTTP addresses or e mail addresses, FrontPage will often automati
cally change these into live links.
2.
Save
index.htm
.
Creating Another Web Page

see how to insert text from an existing Word document called
filler.rtf
. We'll
create an unordered list and use a heading style to format the text.
Let's begin by creating a new page.
1.
To create a new page, on the Standard toolbar,
You see a new blank page.
Let's save the file.
