We'll create a footer at the bottom of the home page. We'll also see how to 

create a special type of link. 

Inserting a Horizontal Line

Let's add a 

horizontal line

, also called a 

horizontal rule, 

to separate the footer 

from the rest of the page. We'll also use a keyboard shortcut to position the 

cursor.

To move to the bottom of 

index.htm

, press:

 +i

2.

To insert a horizontal rule, on the Menu bar,

  Insert,   Horizontal Line

You see the horizontal line at the bottom of the page.

Formatting a Horizontal Line

As with other parts of a Web page, we can alter the properties of this horizon 

tal line. Let's see how to change the color of the line.
