Using Hyperlinks
Now that we've added most of the content to the home page, we need to create
links so users can navigate through the Web site. Web pages utilize several
different types of
links
to connect images, Web pages, and other resources.
Hypertext links
connect text in one Web page to a different point in the same
Web page or another Web page. We'll create two different types of hypertext
links.
Creating an Absolute Link
We want to create an
absolute link
, which requires the complete URL, includ
ing the domain name, to reference the target Web page. Absolute links are
used to link to pages outside your own Web account. We'll link the text
FEMA to the FEMA Web site, which offers information on the national orga
nization.

To select the text to link, in the last cell of the second column,
  across FEMA
2.
To access the Hyperlink options, on the Menu bar,
  Insert, Hyperlink...
You see the
Insert Hyperlink
 dialog box:
There are several options for creating hyperlinks, including creating a link
to a place in the current document and creating a new document to link to.
Later in this workshop, we'll create links within a document, but for now,
we want to link to an existing Web page.
