To view the General Properties of the image,

  the General tab

You see the 

General

 tab of the 

Picture Properties

 dialog box:

There are several General Picture properties, including the Picture source 

and type, which are already defined. 

Let's define alt text.

To place the cursor in the correct location to start entering alternate text,

  in the Text: box

3.

To add alt text, in the Text field of the Alternative representations section, 

type:
