Viewing Picture Properties

It is often necessary to view more information about a picture. This informa 

tion can be accessed by viewing 

Picture properties

, which include a picture's 

size, dimensions, and file location in relation to the Web page.

Let's see how to access the Picture properties for the image we inserted.

1.

To access a menu of options,

  the logo

To access the Picture properties, in the menu,

  Picture Properties...

You see the Picture Properties dialog box with the Appearance tab selected.

The following table explains the options on this tab:

Option

Meaning

Wrapping style

Text flow around picture

Layout

Alignment and thickness of border around 

picture; also includes horizontal and verti 

cal spacing around picture

Size

Picture size in pixels or percent

We would like the logo to appear smaller than it is. So let's change the 

width and the height of the image to 200. And in order to have the image 

proportionate, be sure that keep aspect ratio option is selected.
