There are plenty of Perls of wisdom found here and even some Ruby and PHP. 

If you are a web developer, you are going to want to get this book , assuming you do site that 

provide newsfeeds or are interested in distributing content for syndication. 

There are 11 chapters and two Appendices, one of which covers XML and the other is the 

resource center for the book listing sites and software. Chapter 10 lists a few examples of 

unconventional RSS feeds that provide ways to use this technology in other ways besides 

syndicated distribution   and is why I was interested in the book. These technologies are going 

places.
