III. Snapshots by Foundation Size  

A. Very Large Foundations Snapshot ($250 million or more) 

Staffing Ratio   Total Staff: IT Staff (n = 49) 

Very large foundations tend to be leading edge (early adopters) or fast followers 

regarding technology, with 95 percent of foundations in those categories (Table A 3). 

Regarding technology planning, foundations are evenly divided with 50 percent having a 

technology plan that is up to date and 50 percent not having a plan (Table A 4).
