MySQL databases 

Introduction to MySQL databases

We provide support for MySQL databases on several packages. The Database Manager is a web based 

MySQL client that allows you to create and manipulate a maximum of two MySQL databases. Database 

Manager is designed for advanced users. Knowledge of relational databases and SQL is required in order 

to use this Database Manager efficiently. 

Database Manager builds SQL statements from the various options that you select with the "Build SQL 

Query" button.  After you build a query, you can review it before running the query.  It is located just 

above the "Run SQL Query" button. Clicking the "Run SQL Query" button submits the query to the SQL 

server. More information on using Database Manager to create databases and tables is available in the 

WebsiteOS help, accessible through the WebsiteOS. 

MySQL databases can be accessed through web pages using CGI, ColdFusion and PHP.  ColdFusion 

requires a Data Source Name (DSN).
